Regarding the new .mobi TLD. The sunrise for 'industry' just ended last week and the sunrise for 'trademark holders' just began yesterday. However, someone has nabbed some of the most desireable non-industry and non-trademark domains eg: restaurants.mobi and movies.mobi. You can view the parked www.restaurants.mobi right now, it's parked at eurodns.com.
Looks like major cheating.

its for a trademark of restaurants in Belgium (sound familiar?! although at least this one is a year old)

www.resto.be

Yes it was registered on the first day of trademark sunrise by an internet marketing firm out of Belgium. They have a trademark on the word 'restaurants'. The firm is DreamInvest. How can you trademark a common word!

maybe because the word 'restaurants' is not a common word... in french (i don't speak french, so i don't know how to say restaurant in french)

well restaurant is a French word... restaurants is its plurial.
