you could price it at whatever you want.

it's getting someone to buy it at that price that's the problem.

better to do direct marketing to modeling agencies, as they would have the most interest and money to pay.

.biz sales are not hot and the big one's are rare.

Good Luck!

Hi!

It's indeed a great name, but to be honest, you don't see many .biz names go higher than $xx,xxx . With that being said, this _is_ a domain that can be ranked among possible the most attractive keyword/generic domains and no - I don't think you're dreaming at all. I think this one might fetch $15k or more if you just keep it cool for a while. Good luck!

i think the best one to compare it to is models.us...well...yours is singular, which takes away a lot of value...and I think .biz is worse than .us...I think reseller is only high $$$ to be honest..end user I would say 5k..cant see 15k at all...finding an end user will be very hard for a .biz

i agree with this tbh
resellers generally hate 'em
great keyword. on its day it can of course get what you're asking, be prepared to do lots of legwork or just get lucky though.
also if i was serious about developing a domain, however good the keyword i just wouldn't touch a biz.
having said all that a medium sized modelling agency (which could be quite substantial) coul be bowled over by it's simplicity &appeal.
the market you're aiming at are THE experts on appearance, branding & sex selling though! be prepared to market well!
good luck

why are continuing to ask for appraisals, when you already have an active sales thread going for the domain?

I think the $1000 offer you got is already more than it should be worth to a reseller..,
I see .biz as a dead end tld..looking for offers based on some better domains bought by super motivated end users at all-time-highs just doesnt make sense IMO..I am not saying it couldnt sell for more..but for that you gotta put some work into it and contact some end users..

...like someone else here said..a good price is possible if you keep your cool for a while..I think with for a while he didnt mean 3 days...

Well, I wasn't aware that it was against the rules to ask for appraisals while having an active sales thread simultaneously?

Since I don't mind explaining myself, I continue to ask for appraisals to ensure that I am not either over valuing or under valuing the domain since I do not consider myself an expert in the .biz market which has recently posted some $XX,XXX sales. I could at anytime end the sales thread, lower the BIN or raise the BIN unless someone posts sold. It is an ongoing sales thread.

I am trying to get a good idea as to whether fellow members here at dnforum feel this domain meets the criteria of a $XX,XXX .biz domain or maybe an upper $X,XXX domain at least because I value their opinions. The more responses the more opinions I have to base my own judgement on.

Thanks,

Cad

Didn't say it was against the rules, just asked why?

imo.....it's not a good idea to seek appraisals while you have a sales thread going on.

if members here give you a low range appraisal, then why would someone here bid more than what others have appraised it at?

if you had got an offer somewhere else like sedo and you asked for appraisal to see how it compares to your offer, then I could see the logic.

just my opinion...

I have sold some .biz for a few $K that were no were near as good as this domain.
But I sold them to end users.
It is not unrealistic at all to get $15K for this one to an end user, and I think thats were you should try to sell this domain to.
.biz sales arent very hot, but they exist. They dont do well with resellers and on forums, but in the direct end user market, they are not bad at all, and can be quiet down right good.
I disagree with people who look down on .biz yet place .us higher.
.biz is a GLOBAL TLD, not a Country Code TLD. .US is great for the US, but World Wide, .biz wins easily (from these 2).

15K is not totally unrealistic if you can find an end user who doesn't mind the TLD (.biz makes more sense than .cc after all) but it's going to be difficult.
IMO you need to be more proactive and reach out to end users. For that type of domain I sometimes advertise in industry magazines. This is a good way to get exposure to the right people.

Personally I won't touch .biz and I don't think the ext has a future.

I wish you all the best for finding an end user, just keep in mind that for example modeling.biz is also just a parked domain, and therefore for sale, and I think that actually goes better with the tld, ..also there are plenty of alternatives to your domain, so once you got someone interested consider that you might have to settle for less than 15k, because at one point they are going to ask themselves..hey what else can we get for 15k?...
