Forwards to Cnet (A CBS company). Is it the brandability that has paid off here?

Surely... and also the fact that MarketWatch (Dow Jones) is such a popular brand. I think it's a winner since the intent is obviously development and it's sure to profit from slight brand confusion perhaps. For a corporation that size, I think it's a solid buy given the economic 'inconvenience' we face.

Could you share the source of the news?

thanks

Just type MoneyWatch.com in your browser.

It forwards to bnet.com's financial news, which (according to the WhoIs) is owned by cNet.

great i think one of my domains went up a notch.

And how he knows the price?

The seller appears to have caved-in too quickly to a low 125k offer because moneywatch.com is clearly worth as much or more than ireport.com which would be a minimum of 750k. Personally, if I knew about that end-user the price would be a minimum one-million $ or more which I believe CBS would have paid since to CBS News that is basically chump change.

The only difference is the seller is not Rick :D

I agree. Already a very well branded name. Price could have been negotiated up.

Then again, hard to say no.

Many networks carry this name as a segment and I noticed numerous high profile newspapers and mags (US News and World Report, LA Times) have a feature with this title.

Good sale and price for this domain name.

They probably could have gotten a higher price, but as long as both parties walked away from the sale feeling good, thats what counts :)

I've made offers several times for this domain, last time was about 2 months ago via sedo. That's a great sale .
