If you have pharmaceuticals domain registered with Moniker now is time to transfer them out wile you still can!

I received the email below from them yesterday and they suspended 6 of my domains.

Hello,

Moniker has recently engaged Legit Script as a 3rd party auditor in order to locate domains involved in the illegal online sale of drugs without a prescription and/or the sale of unapproved or falsified medicines.

The domains below have been deactivated and removed from your Moniker account due to a violation of Moniker Terms and conditions as well as violation of The Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy Section 2d. (http://www.icann.org/en/help/dndr/udrp/policy) If you feel this decision was made in error, please contact Legit Script at the following email address: [email protected]. The Legit Script team will review your dispute and if it is determine that you are not in violation, your name will be reactivated and returned to your account.

Thank you,

Moniker Legal Team

BTW: if you looking for a registrar that ignores Legit Script I recommend that you use: http://www.cndomainsite.com (CN Domain Site)

Enom too have been cracking down on pharma for a long time.

On the other hand, if you are selling illegal or counterfeit pharma ICE can seize the domains regardless of the registrar.

Just sold Oxies(.)com last month. Glad that's gone before it was snagged!

Were you sending spam?

Did you have any type of developed site on them?

I don't encourage any type of domains that could pertain to anything illegal, but I do encourage all to get out of Moniker because of lack of customer care even to their loyal customers. However, it would be very nice if Moniker could turn back the clock and start taking responsibility and doing things right. Just my two cents.

Hi Tia Wood;216,

Yes I had developed sites on them that had organic SEO traffic, I didn't promote any illegal products, I only deal with non-controlled.

Did you have any type of developed site on them?

Hi ninjadomain,

I agree with you I also don't encourage any type of domains that could pertain to anything illegal, I only marketed non-controlled products that are 100% legal, regarding Moniker I sent them the the reply below as soon as I received their email and they didn't bother to email me back so I do encourage all to get out of Moniker.

Dear Moniker Legal Team,

Please allow me to transfer my domains to another domain registrar, you should give your customers a grace period and allow them to transfer their domains to other domain registrars, regarding Legit Script you should contact ICANN and ask them if Legit Script is a formal organization that works with them, as far as I know they are not an official organization.

Do these two statements jive ?

Yes. For instance Spice is legal, but it's an uncontrolled FDA product... making it legal to purchase/use as "incense" (clearly written on the package "not for human consumption"). There are also supplements that bodybuilders take that are legal, but uncontrolled by the FDA as well, it is up to the company to provide information on human consumption as there are no regulations.

Without seeing the websites, I don't know if the OP is accurately telling the truth. Perhaps he was pushing generic Viagra without prescriptions, which is illegal. However, Legal Script shouldn't handle that issue, nor should Moniker.

Moniker is happy to release your information to anyone who asks for privacy information (I must add) if you don't respond to them within 24-48 hours, which made me angry at them. But once privacy was removed, there was no point of enabling/setting it back on again as the "complainant" had already seen my information.

They need a better team that deals with issues such as this & privacy.
