The live auction that I would want would be like this:

I submit the domain(s) for a certain live event. And for nothing else.

No complicated contract.
No exclusive rights after the event.
Accepted (for this specific live event): YES or NO
If not accepted, we have no further business relationship and no obligations.
No silent auction, if I do not want it (and I don't).

That would be nice. Very nice.
 
Ah, but you forgot one other important point -- to be accepted without a request for reserve reduction.

well, it's their auction, so the selection of the domains and reserve is up to them

(i understand that it can be a problem sometimes, but less frequently if the domain name is not automatically sent to the silent auction)
