most of the domains' reserves are overpriced.. 100% increases from last year auction results.

ex: clarinet.com
GolfClubs.com
etc..

some ridiculous reserve prices.

For some of the domains selected I would not pay even $1.

There will be some nice sales but whomever put that list together needs to go back to domain school, over priced and not a great selection at alll, a lot of names we have seen in the past and sold recently. The smart people have held back on selling their good stuff in todays market and this is what youre left with, old hat, high priced names.

Not sure who approves that list but looks like one big fail coming. I see a lot of $XXX-$XXXX SOLD's.

can someone explain this to me? Is this a once a year auction? Obviously I missed it, but how do you submit?

yeah better list but well overpriced as per usual, they are probably his own domains he's bought at a lowball price, you ever tried to sell a domain to him ? try camgirls.com,i bet you wouldn't get even a quarter of the $350k you paid for it from him although it would be up the next day at $250k but fair play to him he attracts the very desperate just like all pawnbrokers.

Oops, I just started a separate thread in the "Trade Shows" forum, hadn't seen this one. Let me repeat my post here:

I see that the auction listings have been released for both Rick Latona's and Moniker's auctions at TRAFFIC NY.

Any comments about their respective inventories?

Minor point - I think the way Latona lists reserve ranges is a little silly. For example, BroadwayShows.com's range is "800,000 USD to 900,000 USD". If you're going to be that specific, why not just state the exact figure?

I submitted 10 domains to Moniker - 3 got accepted for the extended auction, none for the live. That's not a terrible batting average, but I'm surprised they didn't take a common one-word noun (& product) .com with a $1K reserve. One man's treasure, and all that ....

Many of these are repeats, and priced at retail. Wish they would start at very low or no reserves.

Did submit 2 names for auction. Both accepted into live auction. Pretty low reserves.

I see some great domain's names on Rick Latona and moniker auction listings.
Can't wait to see some of the final sale prices on some of those domain's for auction.
