It was published 100+ years ago and is out of copyright. I've had no problems in the 10+ years I've had it.

Worth mentioning that the content is currently flat file standards compliant XHTML (which has taken quite a bit of work in its own right). I've been meaning to move to a dynamic version for a while but haven't had the time.

This shouldn't be too much hassle in the right hands and would let visitors search more effectively by ingredients etc - historical and novelty interest is high and many seem to be using the site to recreate old recipes for special occasions etc.

Hence some quality links from BBC, Economist, Guardian, Independent etc as well as academic sites.
