I have a really great 4 letter .com MTVV.com any help would be great. NOT a video domain. Just listed it as a stupid example. It can be My Tits Vote Victor. Better?

I was just giving examples. It can be MTVV for anything. I apologies for giving a freaking example. That has no barring what so ever on the name.

Your domain leaves little to the imagination except MTV.

You are being defensive as you own the name. Take a step backward and look at it from the outside. Once you leave the obvious tag to MTV trademark you loose any value unless it is for Morgan Therman Vinter and Vinter law firm if you understand my example.

Not only that the value as a llll domain is lost from that TM problem. I know you do not want to hear any of this. Here is a great example. I own MusicTV.com and I can do anything I want. There cannot be a trademark on it. MTV cant talk about it because I am MusicTV not MTV. You can be MusicVideos no problem. Even MusicTVVideos no problem. MTVJackets? MTVRecords? MTVVideos? MTVV trying to do something in music, videos??? :sigh2:

Offer it to them for a job or a lunch or a date with a VJ or something. Use it to advantage in that way.

the bottom line is I gave a poor example. I wanted the value of the name. Not if it was for mtv videos. It was just a stupid example. Yet I get another reply based on my example.

If "MTV videos" was just an example then why did you park it and make it relating to MTV. There is nothing on that parked page but MTV. You have already built a case for MTV if they choose to want it. Registering in bad faith. Good luck though.

Robert, it did not need your example. It is blatant. You really think posting it just as here is MTVV.com what do you think would blind anyone to this problem? It was the first thing in your mind and you must admit it. That is what branding is about and MTV has it in spades.

I don't know if you paid a lot or its value to you. I only know if I had this handed to me I would not be doing anything but calling MTV and arranging to meet and figure a way to hand it over while networking and making something work out of it beyond money. Its MTV and they are fun and music (sure they dont pay their employees but what company does?).

On the other hand you can find a law firm or accounting firm whose initials match? In that case I do not know its value other than a reg fee or a couple reg fees cause someone has it? But if you park it with music ads?? You opened the door again. Don't you see the problem with this?

Maybe leave it parked until they scream and take your earnings that way.

I do not see too many suggested alternatives do you?

Parked Page is full of MTV ads making money off of MTV while being a Typo of MTV. One of the main reasons that MTVV.com is ranked and getting traffic.

i just got this name, you would seriously turn me in to mtv? Why did you post the abuse email at mtv? get a life. i am going to park it with my company anyhow. like i said this is from the old owner. I got it and he had it parked. I am using it for something else and making a site.

if you need proof that its from the old owner his name is mike and I will gladly post his email plus the transaction ID from paypal. Get a life x2

All i know is...if you're in possession of the name...as it appears that you are in the WHOIS....then it is parked by you.

Let me make it very easy to understand. When using godaddy push. The account info doesnt change where the DNS is pointed. Simple enough? Or are you missing that to?

Nothing. Just changed it. Using it for a vixen site. It was marketed as a video site so I just went with it. Wasnt anticipating this kind of response from a person who obviously has a great deal of time on their hands. It's very sad. I guess I made a mistake by putting that in the title. Didnt mean anything by it. I saw how it was parked so I figured it would be okay to put in the title topic.

But entertaining that he would chose to say I was acting in bad faith etc when I was just asking value on an appraisal topic.

I changed the DNS to my server so I can build my site. So, go bother someone else (not you investor) I always enjoy you!!
bottom line it's a great name
