So let's say you got a hit off of every link per day on that site. That's $5 per 1,000 unique visits. So 24X$5=$120/day revenue on that domain? so $120X365 days/yr = $43,800 annual revenue? Is this a reasonable profitabilty guage for this type of domain?

Yes, if you get $5 per 1000 visitors and your domain gets 24000 visitors diaily, it is the case.
Only prime domains get that kind of traffic.

There is no way the domain gets 1 hit for every link per day.

I would guess at the most it would get around 3-4k visitors a day.

Clem,

OK, I settle for $ 2.5 cpm and 12,000 visitors on this domain.

And, if you do the "net present value" of the domain. It is worth a lot more than $ 7,000.

Just wanted to know if my math was right that's all. I also doubt it gets that much traffic but I'm sure the person will make their money back fairly soon. I look at the quality of links when I'm bidding or going after a domain. 5-10 quality links could be just as good as 1,000 link pops combined.
