My .cn domain dispute case

I do not know Chinese. And stayed away from .cn . I am glad I did not invest in .cn names.

Responent: Beijing National Network Information Limited (??)

The decision is mainly based on the date of domain registration. The domain google.com.cn was registered on Dec 3, 1999. Google Inc claimed to have China trademarks on category 9, 35, 42. The panel agreed the trademarks were valid, but the valid date are all in 2000, later than the date of domain registration. Google also claimed the trademark Google is well known, but did not provide evidence Google is well known in China when the domain was registered on Dec 3, 1999.
