Beware of using Paypal.com

I would like to warn people in regards to a very well known scam that has been happening for years to webmasters around the world who provide paid to buy “ebooks” “downloads” “Digital eProducts” “Traffic Hits” “SEO” and other services to your Websites “Customers”

Back around 2003 I had a Marketing Website "ineedtraffic.com" which provide SEO and Traffic Hits to Clients.

I bought the site for around $3000 and then off I went and the money started rolling in, I was very happy and I thought I had hit the Jackpot!

The websites I ran were iNeedTraffic.com and GoldTraffic.com

From these two websites I specialised in the following:

1. Search Engine Submission e.g. to search engines such as Google.com and Yahoo.com
2. Website marketing and
3. Providing Traffic / Hits / Visitors to website owners throughout the world

To explain this rather simply, people came to my websites, order visitors, or SEO pay me through PayPal.com and then once I received payment I then delivered the visitors to their websites through a Traffic Hits Reseller TrafficHits.com

So around 5 years later I still see webmasters getting scammed by the same sort of scam, the scammers buy an “E-Product” via paypal, the product is delivered to them, then a week or two later the scammers put in a paypal chargeback reversal and get their money back, plus get to keep the E-Product and the webmaster who sold the E-Product loses his money plus a E-Product Sale and the possibility of loss of his business through Scammers!

So what happened?

Beware of Paypal.com Scammers

At least you won 1 of the disputes which is very rare as normally they are in the buyers side for download products 100% of the time. That 1 win of couse is little comfort to you.

Some years ago I had a paypal chargeback which I lost with the dispute commenced an amazing 13-months after the purchase date! That's right, over one year after purchase!

The problem is electronic items are not covered by seller protection, which is something they should implement. Even if you show them emails where the dishonest buyer admits ordering, getting and actually using the service they are still on his side when the crook later falsely claims he did not order it or get it. In fact, I believe they have a policy of not even looking at your evidence.

Thats interesting, i remember your sites well.... you must have made a fortune from them though.

Who are you referring to?

Yeah paypal disputes are pain in he *** , thats why I'm using paypal only in DNF , NP and DP and dealing only with established members . I think using 2checkout or moneybookers will solve that problem

So one thing you could do is manually vet each order, and decline any orders that originate from "free" email services...and just make it clear on the website that orders from free services will be refunded and declined. Not a perfect solution but better than nothing.

If they are forced to use their ISP email, you then have one more link to follow up with if they try to screw you. I have contacted ISP's to let them know their customers are attempting to gain access to our servers for instance, and the attacks cease pretty quickly...
