Yes I understand the difference. If the indications of interest are at a peak of $210 how do you expect to get a bid of $1,000 just to start off?

An auction guarantee's that you will own the domain if you win.

Making an offer is simply just making an offer. You have no control over the outcome.

And besides, our fellow peers have appraised this domain for a lot more that the offer you are quoting.

My offer was not for $210 that was someone else. I know the rules of an auction verse an offer. All I am saying is if the highest offer out of a few offers is $210 after a week or so you dont suddenly start an auction for the same domain for $1,000 if your serious about selling it. Doesnt matter what anyoe appraised it for. Appraisals mean absolutely nothing to me and to anyone else who is serious in buying domains. I dont mean to bash this auction I am just letting you know that I think your wasting your time by starting it at $1,000 if no one was willing to pay over $210 to start with.

I respect you opinion and would ask that you kindly refrain from commenting any further on this auction being that you have no intention of bidding.

Actually, just by posting that comment you are definitely meaning to bash this thread. This is an auction thread, and your valuation has no place in it unless you are making an offer. Whatever pricing strategy a seller chooses to use is their own. If he doesn't get the $1K bid he seeks, it's his problem, not yours.

Im sorry if it seems that way but thats not what I meant to do. I think the seller has a good domain and I made him an offer for it. I was going to bid it up after the $210 and then he quickly changed the minimum to $1,000. Anyway I could be wrong but I think if it happened to someone else they would be a little upset also. In my mind I just thought the seller was not interested in selling it anymore.
