I don't think it's so bad; it's just unfortunate that the .com is developed.

However I have seen unnecessary harshness on domain appraisals in this forum...

Agree with the crowd ... having BOTH a "My" prefix AND a ".net" suffix spells doom 99.9999% of the time. Sorry. Develop it?

Putting "my" on the front of a good .net name doesn't necessarily spell death. I own MyTrademarks.net and have gotten several offers. But I'm not going to sell it for any type of wholesale price that people have been offering.

What really kills your domain is a Trademark issue. My Pharmacy is a Live Trademark. See http://www.uspto.gov. I don't see any other use for this domain - except to put a website about selling drugs. Creating a pharmacy site with the my "MyPharmacy.net"would definitely be TM infringement of the live "My Pharmacy" TM.

Yes...Hunter and Thanks. I regged it a while back without checking the TM first. Live and learn. I guess it will fall by the wayside with all the other junk pile domain names around the world.

I still say that you have a TM problem, but I wanted to just touch on another minor point that was discussed by someone above.

Let's just say that you had registered another non-TM domain in .net form and the .com form was already a developed site. This does not spell death either.

As long as the .com is not TM, a developed dot.com site can be a very good indicator of the good value of a domain name.

For example, Lets say you wanted to register xxx.us (just making this example up). You look at xxx.com, xxx.net, xxx.org, xxx.biz, xxx.info, xxx.co.uk and they are all developed sites, look good plus professional, and are run by companies. This is a pretty good indicator that someone else will eventually want xxx.us because the xxx is in high demand.

But again, in your case, the TM issue kills "MyPharmacy.net"

What a sensible response. I do not think it matters too much what the extension is. That is,if the others are all gone and well developed then the remainder, if the name itself is good, have to be marketable commodities.
