I have had a look at this. I cannot see any reason why the dot com is worth that much. Perhaps something, I am missing, but there is one born every minute! The page is currently parked against Adwords, so it would seem that there is traffic. Whether the traffic was genuine or engineered I couldn't say. Clearly, the dot info will have less traffic than the dot com, but you could price it on an earnings multiple (anywhere between 3 and 10).

Best Regards

But it doesn't have much Overture which is a bit odd. How much traffic is there and where is it coming from?

Hi Dave, thats perfect, I will be looking for that range once parked.

I also got these names:
Ebumsworld.info (the .com was sold for 27,000 this week)
UnitedCashLoan.info (the .com was sold for 18,000 this week)
DotExplore.net (the .com was sold for 15,000 this week)

Interesting strategy. I have alway felt it worth trying to fill in gaps for Keywords where there are already a lot of registrations, but I am a bit mystified why so many extensions should be available for Keywords that have gone for so much!

There is either a hugely unexploited arbitrage opportunity here, which you would appear to have latched onto or there is something a little fishy going on. As these are oustensibly drops, it is not quite clear to me what the angle would be.

It does, however, all rather point to a bit of a bubble in the Dot Coms.

Best Regards

Myspac.com sold for so high because of Myspace.com being a large traffic site. Many people forget the "e" when typing in Myspace.com. Myspac.info is, IMO, worth reg. fee.

I think $2-3 is not a biggie so its ok to waste that much.

Stuff , are these worth anything?
UnitedCashLoan.info (the .com was sold for 18,000 this week)
DotExplore.net (the .com was sold for 15,000 this week)

UnitedCashLoan.com overture 1297 unitedcashloan.com, so traffic again. Cash and loan traffic is very good. again your info version not worth anything

DotExplore.com again has traffic, but Your .net version may get some traffic, So I would appraise this one to reg fee and up, if any traffic.

pamela the dot com sold for alot cause it was as nice typo with alot of traffic. Off of these domain forums not really many ppl know about .info - for those that do they are most likely going to a food name .info but for myspace everyone knows its a .com . what stuff is saying is that when ppl mistype it they definitely are using a .com at the end. IMO

I have several "typo" .infos that get traffic.

A $2 investment for a domain making $100-$200 a month.. that's alright with me.

Really a .com typo in .info version?
or .info domain info typo?

Wow this is just brutal reasoning and logic making, combined with a terrible "lost-newbie like" decision making!

Some people still don't realize that difference in just one letter can often mean a difference between having a spectacular name and $0 name, and MySpac.info is a five letter difference from a main traffic source, and a four letter difference from a typo that sold for 35k. So why would you register MySpac.info??????????????????????????????? Is there a wildly popular webiste called MySpace.info from which you're hoping to capture this stray traffic from?????????????????????????????????

If the answer is NO, then why in the heck do you waste your money on such brick-wall ideas?????? Besides have you ever stopped for a moment and asked yourself how come that none of other vastly smarter, shrewder, more experienced speculators and greedy serial registrators hadn't registered this "gem" before you??? Have you??? Ask yourself such question ocassionally because it will save you lots of money in a long run.

This name is not worth anything. It's almost insulting to even ask for an appraisal.

Yeah right. Maybe you have info typos of info sites, but you surely can't have .info typos of .com sites.

Why in the hell would someone hold any of such names, unless they are supremely generic? You pretty much can't develop MySpace.info (let alone MySpac.info), and it has no traffic, so why would you hold it? Who would want to buy something like that and for what apparent purpose? Domains like that are useless. Dead weight.

Well, everybody starts somewhere.

One suggestion that might help you avoid registering names like these are to ask someone who has a little bit more experience. Don't do it in public, but do it by PM, and make sure it is someone who isn't going to register the name. I know there are a lot of trustworthy people in the forum who would gladly give you an honest opinion about a name you are interested in and not register it before you did (and, of course, sleazy people who would snag it if they thought it were any good).
