A friend asked me to look into this, but I am not sure what has happened.

http://www.thebiglake.com/ should not be a directory. It should be pointing to a real estate site and was until very recently. According to whois at register.com it is still pointing to the servers at outfront hosting, but it does not resolve.

Any ideas?

A trace route shows it going from eli.net to lasvegas.net...

Thanks,

Joe

Whois at register.com shows Nameservers
NS2.OUTFRONTSITES.COM
NS3.OUTFRONTSITES.COM

But a Whois via internic.net (and others) shows
Domain Name: THEBIGLAKE.COM
Registrar: REGISTER.COM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.register.com
Referral URL: http://www.register.com
Name Server: DNS01.GPN.REGISTER.COM
Name Server: DNS02.GPN.REGISTER.COM
Name Server: DNS03.GPN.REGISTER.COM
Name Server: DNS04.GPN.REGISTER.COM
Name Server: DNS05.GPN.REGISTER.COM

All the DNS records point to name-services.com as well. I'd get intouch with Register.com and ask whats going on..

I assume that the domain was registered for two years, (or renewed if only one year) and hasn't actually expired??
