I recently tried changing the name servers on a Domain
registered at dotregistrar.com.

The system accepted the new change but the old name servers
still remain in the record also.

DotRegistrar tells me to wait but after waiting 3 days I know
something is not right.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the old dotregistrar
name servers that are stuck ??

TIA!!

Most of the time, time cures the problem....
Of course that's given you have done it right at your end and that DotRegistrar is not having software problems.
I share your frustration though, esp if you are losing traffic and money.

It takes time for the dns change to propagate.
From registrar to root servers to isp to user pc.
The previous dns setting also plays a part.

Plan ahead can save some problem but cannot eliminate all the problems especially when live updates are involved.

Have yet to find a perfect plan.
