I noticed a big drop in traffic to some of my sedo listings.. so, on a whim i logged into my NameCheap account to make sure all was as it should be.

Alas, All was not as it should be....

Every domain that I had previously had parked at sedo (NS1/2.SEDOPARKING.COM) had been 'reset'.

My domains were no longer pointing to sedo's nameservers, but now the default nameservers (coincidentally - namecheap's).

Shock!

Horror!

Gasp!

I had to manually sit there and go through each and every domain I had with namecheap to make sure the nameservers were correct (couple of hundred).

Not Happy at all.

Anyone else had a similiar experience?

They change 'em, in my case anyway, when names are not renewed by due date.
Renewed them and bingo, all is back to normal.

(Same thing happens at namebargain.)

Perhaps NameCheap (and others) need to adopt the email notification that GoDaddy uses for account changes....

btw, their is a mass update... so you could repoint all the sedo parked names at once with just few clicks, instead of doing each one individually.

Namecheap has done this to me before. That is why I do not host many names there anymore. If I do buy the next year I end up transferring them out.
