In the past I've never had problems pushing domains with NameScout - you just go to the 'Switch' screen, click the 'Change ownership of one domain' link, and the process is quick and easy.

A few days ago I pushed one domain without any problem, then later in the day I tried to push 4 more, but every time I got error messages (it looks like it's not finding the receiver's account). I waited a day, then tried again - this time I got completely different error screens. I did eventually push the domains through a combination of email and a phone call. But the support staff couldn't explain why the online push system wasn't working for me. I assumed it was just a temporary glitch or for some unusual reason the receiver's account couldn't be found by their online push system.

Today I tried to push another domain to a different person, and again received an error. I called up support and this time they said their online push system has never actually been working properly, they said it is definitely buggy and they said they were surprised that I had ever used it successfully in the past !!

They also assured me that they are making a whole new interface and it will make pushes easy - ready in maybe 1 or 2 months! And since they're working on a new system, they said they definitely won't be fixing the current system. They said I should just send an email every time I want to push a domain. (it's not very convenient to process a lot of pushes to different buyers by sending each push request in individual emails and then waiting and hoping support get around to it eventually - so far I've had to call every time to get a quick response to emails!)

My personal guess is they broke the old system while working on the upcoming new interface.

Anybody else having these problems with NameScout? And not looking forward to manually processing each push by email?

Personally i have bought a domain name from another fellow forumer here, however it has been over 3days with no action on their side. My other party has sent out 2 mails to the provided namescout addresss, however i'm still stuck with the deal on my end. what can i do, anyone?

Sorry to the above person, I didn't notice your reply. Did you get the situation sorted out?

I just wanted to update this thread - since writing the original message, I've successfully pushed quite a few domains through NameScout's automatic 'switch' system, so it seems the problem was just a temporary glitch (despite their support person telling me it should never have worked at all :) ) So pushes can definitely be done in less than 2 minutes - much better than sending requests by email and waiting for them to get around to it.
