Hi everyone,

Small story, skip ahead if you don't want to read into it

Here's the deal: for the last couple of months I've been trying to come up with a cool, edgy name for my onsite computer repair, web design, and general computer service company. At first I had decided on a name (geekwork) for which I already owned the corresponding .com domain name. All was well until I tried to file for the name with my state... seems I wasn't the first person to want to use that name. Fairly shocked that someone else (in the state of Minnesota none-the-less) would have already used my oh-so-original name I've found myself trying to come up with something else.

The name rejection has put me offschedule. For the last few weeks I've been spending way too much time with the simple task of finding a company name! I'm a domain-guy for Christ's sake! :dead: I've found a couple names that could work but I knew they just weren't right.
(geekrepair.com and flattfix.com/flatfix.com as flatt is my last name. Both of which are ok names in my opinion but are not broad enough to describe what all I want to do)

But tonight, in my too-sick-to-think-clearly, drugged-up, migraine-infested insomnia, I think I found a name that I like:

onsiteInsight.com

So what do you think? Cracked-out-with-credit-card stupidity (COWCC) or a good name for an onsite computer repair and webdesign company?

Thanks ever so much,
Paul Flatt

Ok for a sign above a shop but for a domain name?
Are there no shorter more specific options?
Remember people are going to be keying that in (or not!)

There is a good chance that people would misspell the name as...

onsightInsight.com
onsiteInsite.com

Why don't you go with a made up name...like "xxxxxxx" computer services Inc.
Then it would be easy for people to remember "xxxxxxx"

Good luck with your company

I agree. the 2 phonetic 'site' is asking for someone to mis type it.
you have site and sight on the same domain, a little confusing.
