need an advice please

I picked up an expired domain name which i will post in Pm to who ever is interested on 5th of jan. today i got an email from previouse owner with a copy of court order which is date 17th june 2008.. i will also write in pm what the court order had said.

now the name is to me very generic, there is no trade mark or anything against it, also i checked the company registration for it, there is none company registered under same name, it was, but it has been strock off.

I would need someone to have a quick look at this and advice me on it since this guy is threatening with legal issues and business damages.

please those who think have the knowledge ask for details,
