I want to auction singing.org. I can do it via a featured auction on ebay. I have a perfect record there.

Now. Two questions.

In your opinion, how much is singing.org worth?

I'm biased because I like orgs. I think they are pretty high profile - just not really in a business sense. And although it is a gerund with the ing, its an important one in the field of music. I also own it so I don't believe I can make a real judgement. I get wild appraissals for this - everywhere from zero to 10k and from

people I consider reasonable appraisors.

I was hoping to get maybe $500. Is that unreasonable?

If you had it, what would you ask?

Next question is how should I auction it. Should I start at a dollar and set a reserve? Should I not set a reserve and set opening bid high? Or should I just go for it and make no reserve and start bid at a dollar. I'm tempted to do that but I'm a little bit chicken.

Also, should I list in .org section in addition to .com section? Its an extra $30 to do that.

I really have no use for this name as it doesn't tie in with what I want to do.

Anyways, thanks for any opinions/advice.

The "ing" hurts, but it is still strong.

I think $500 is in the realm of possibility

ebay is traditionally not a good venue to sell names. Not sure I would try that.

Good Luck!

I was thinking of bidding when i saw it earlier but they were not great names...

denting.com, poising.com, fierceness.com

cant think of many potential markets for these...

It may get $500, but it depends on the buyer, really.

Personally, I feel people who buy domain names and websites are looking for something they can just take over. If it has traffic and even a profit, that's 75% of the work already done for them.

Ebay has been great for me. I sell all of my names on Ebay. Granted, most of mine are fully developed websites, but Ebay is a good place to sell names. You can, at least, make contacts (other bidders) who are interested in buying other names you may have. I get asked often from bidders about other names I have or are looking for.

I say try it. It's a small price that could turn a big profit! :)

another one of those domains that is short .. memorable .. and without a lot of commercial appeal. I would guess about $250 - $750 at best. Good luck.

i'd say its worth at least $500, but you won't get that on ebay. One to market (i.e. approach people) with.

I think if you put it up for auction at eBay you might get 100$-150$ for it.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. I did try emailing different singing organizations (and there are tons) but no one seemed interested. Maybe I should try again. Or maybe I'll do a panic auction on ebay with $1 opening bid and no reserve. I just hope its me that doesn't end up panicking (lol).

Thank again.

I will also back you up on the bidding (you should always have at least two people to get a little bid history going)
