I would like to ask for your collective assistance.
I have been 'collecting' domains since 1997, but didnt start acquiring heavily till 2000, and much more in 2002-3.

I have quite a few parked at afternic (well, not many really) and it hasnt done anything for me.

I am now underway towards developing some names and hopefully making some nice developed sites for sale.

My question is this:
What is the best way to make some income from the sitting domains?
I mean which service is in your opinion the best?
Is it better to go for per click type income? better to list them somewhere (where?), or both???
Which company would you suggest for maximum exposure and one that doesnt require you to have thousands of domains.

I would really appreciate an answer. I am desperate for one :)

My 2 cents worth.

I am now aggressively developing a few of the good domains, and continue to remain a bit more passive on the traffic side (assuming the domains do generate traffic) I work with developers and park my domains at Afternic and Sedo.us. I have had offers of up to a few $x,xxx from Sedo and have sold enough to have my inventory costs covered. I am now looking for the developed sites to eventually turn a profit.

Good luck.

Hi Onspec!

That's pretty much what I am doing now, perhaps not as aggressively as I should...

What I do not understand is why you need the developers to park your domains at sedo?
Or do you mean you work with them to develop the domains you want as sites, and the rest just park them at sedo?
Thanks!

Thanks!
nice comparison page and very helpful.
Why dont you use CSS?
I guess I am being picky, but sites just dont luck as good without them (assuming they are properly developed).
Your site could actually luck heavy duty and very PRO If it was better designed.
I have 1 question.
What is the difference between sedo.co.uk and sedo.us?
They are obviosuly the same company, I am wondering If there are any usability differences?

Thanks for a great link!

CSS??

Please consider this a beta version (or a work in progress), as I am just too busy to really fix the site up to make it really look good. Most of my "extra" time is being spent evaluating additional ppc services.

I figure that pros will be able to look past the not-so-beautiful site and see that there is a lot of valuable info on the site.

I will add to the Sedo page the fact that sedo.co.uk, sedo.us, sedo.de. .de launches you into German version. .fr into French, etc. Sedo.es does NOT take you to the Spanish version. But you can switch language regardless of which domain you use to enter the site. So, sedo.co.uk = sedo.us (since in the US we speak a language pretty close to that in the UK).

I guess I should have someone design a logo for the site. Anyone need some dnf bucks?

Glad you found the site helpful.
