.net reg prices drop

it looks like the new reg prices for .net will soon be $4.75 for regs, renewals and transfers.

fabulous started already offering this.

I am not sure if this is good news or bad news after the afilias scandal.

it was lowered because the registrars now buy them at $2.00 discount from verisign.
So far only Fabulous offers this, but I am sure others will follow.

I certainly hope that the end users do not see this as a sign that end user prices of .nets should be lowered like with .info which was a shame.

I already started to move all my .nets over to Fabulous.

I havnt read the contract but I'm not surprised. I did read in another article -
http://www.cbronline.com/article_news.asp?guid=DF8902EE-1947-4D53-872C-AF582E80FBC8 - that there is 6 month notification built in so we should all have ample time to pile additional years.
