I was looking on Overture for traffic names and came across a domain which I typed in to see if it was taken. It looked somewhat similar to a DomainSponsor landing page, but smaller text and different color scheme. The screenshot is here:
http://www.geocities.com/nolucksavant/stred3.JPG

I then accidentally hit "reload" instead of "back" on my browser and when the page reloaded,it was the standard Blue/White DomainSponsor landing page.

Maybe they're testing a new landing page by having it pop up every so often. The text is considerably smaller,I'm not sure I like it.I'm happy with my DS revenue with the current pages,so I'm hoping these aren't implemented.

What does everyone think?

Here's how you can tell for sure, search for or click on the term "mortgage" on the page. Does it take you to search results or an actual website. If it takes you to a website instead of results it's DomainSponsor.

It's definetly DomainSponsor. I just tried your test too, with "mortgage",and it took me to a website.

lol agreed.. why mess with what works.. it makes no difference what we think about the landing pages.. if they work then lets leave it at that..

Those pages look like something I made on my first ever web design class back in '97

I've just found this new [mod]Link removed.. please post a screenshot as this site attempts to install software on the users machine. Not to mention the barrage of popups[/mod]

I hope DS would provide me/us with these type of lander layout.

Oh, sorry about that Mod... didn't knew

here's a screenshot of the lander

i've seen that sort of layout on a couple of names now...i like it, it is put together nicely and looks as if there is a real web site in place.

when you refresh the page, does that layout disappear and change to something else? on my side, it did.
