Hey Domainers -

I've always been skeptical of domaining and thought it was a complete waste of time (buying random domain names in hopes one makes it big) but after doing a few days of research and reading the Domain Graduate obviously there is a lot more than what I knew! Man, was I wrong...

I currently own a mere 4 domains that I bought in January for a blog I had so that no one else would have a name similar to mine. Two days ago I parked all the domains on Sedo and have since acquired a massive $0.34!

Today I received an e-mail from a company stating that they were interested in my domain names and made an offer on them, however I am skeptical as the price they offered seems on the extreme high side and I know there is a high risk of scams in this market...any advice is appreciated and I plan to make a post about their offer in the appropriate section on this board.

Thanks in advance for reading and the warm welcomes and I look forward to learning, buying and selling with each of you in the near future!

Welcome... Domaining is as addicting as buying $AAPL even when you know its Bearish :)

Good luck all the way

Yup, its that addicting, and thanks Poker for clarifyin ;)

Have them make the offer through sedo and that way you are protected by an escrow service performing the sale, it's well worth the 10% fee.

This is your sound advice. You will be smart to question all offers such as you did. I've never been ripped off with a SEDO transaction.
PS I live in Las Vegas as well. Nice to meet ya. Good luck in your ventures and feel free to PM ne with your questions.
