I have just been shown the samsung mobile phone ‘instinct’.

Now this is a beautiful full smartphone but with one interesting addition. It has a one touch button to select domain extension when surfing the net. There is the choice of .com, .mobi, .org, .edu etc.

The instinct isn't "new". I beta tested that POS over a year ago and couldn't wait for the trial to be over. :)

True. The instinct was one of the first touch screen phones released after the iPhone.

My last Samsung "slider" phone lasted 1 year; then the connectors broke rendering the screen and the camera useless. I bought a Nokia, no problems.

I use Nokia too from years (different versions) and I never had a problem.

yeah, its not brand new, but we get handsets months after many other countries in the UK, it's just your systems that are years behind. and i ain't just talking 'bout telecoms :smilewinkgrin:
