Newbie to Domain purchasing and have a few ?'s

I just have a few questions I would like to pose to all the forum members with some experience. I hope they aren't too sophomoric or questions you have already answered a dozen times over.

1.) What large registrars allow you to push for free?
I have mainly used godaddy up to this point.
2.) How many have purchased their own resellers license with Enom? How did you like the service?
3.) What is the norm for a sale in these and other forums(if it can't be pushed), for the seller to pay transfer or the buyer?
4.) How many of you make your living brokering domain names?
5.) Sedo, do you make any money parking your current
names there...are there better places to sell your domain name?
6.) Pool.com purchases a long term investment or purchased for resale?
I ask this question because I put in requests for 3 names there in the
past few days, and all 3 went for or are going for fairly high amounts.
(mp3planet.com, etoast.com, wpm.net)
7.) Does Pool get all the good dropped names? Everything I've requested a drop on they got.

Again, I hope you don't get annoyed by this post. I'm looking into this as a hobby (only 6-8 names so far, I don't plan on dropping more than 500-700 dollars until I start seeing some returns). I've actually found it quite fun so far.

On a side note I purchased the name 2dl.net at godaddy not thinking much of it since it was .net and had a number in the name, but in less than 2 days being parked at sedo it has had 52 hits. Is this an anomoly, or do you think it is a low amount for this name? Should I try to develop it into something and sell it? What do you think it may return?

3) Negotiatable, but often seller. Should be discussed BEFORE the sale!

4) Many

5) No comment

6) Both. Get used to seeing 4 to 6 figures.

7) They have the most registry connections- hence high success rate (and high $$$).

These are the questions that have not been answered and that i can answer:

1) namecheap.com

2) impossible to say, however $6.95 reseller accounts are very sought after because they are no longer available to new domain sellers

5) I like sedo, and they make you different amounts dependant upon the keyword that they place on your domain. Although I was just talking to somebody who uses domain sponsor who pay $2per click on pet store names (Sometimes) whilst the rate at sedo is about $.15

New domain sellers can buy from existing domain sellers who still have spare accounts.

Almost All.

I can give you an $8.95 reseller account. $6.95 accounts can only be gotten from someone who has a legacy account they don't want or become a partner yourself at $6950.00. Service is generally good.

Anywhere from a couple $ or even pseudo DN$ to several thousand. I'd say most are under $100 here and are wholesale to other sellers.

I don't, but many do.

Some make good money, some enough to pay renewals, others nothing. It depends on traffic and the name. There are other parking sites as well. Mine are mostly parked on my sales page.

If you get into the auctions, you are probably bidding against high end resellers, developers, or end users. Pick a top end and hold to it....sort of like gambling...

No, they do better than average though. I get some through Namewinner and Enom club drop. I don't bother with other drop services though due to very low success rates. NW and Enom have done well for me in the last week.

Two ways to look at things. Buy and hold, or buy and sell quickly for lower margins. Both can be successful strategies if you know how.

Not too bad for a number/letter combo. First thing I thought of was "To Download". It has been registered before and was used by a university project team. You can see it at www.Archive.org

Enom has it's qualities and distractions. Plan on having an account if you get serious into the game.

Many names that will bring decent prices by end user won't get the time of day here. Keywords, 2 char, 3 letter, traffic, and exceptional names sell here.

It's tough road and some can.Some do. I haven't so far.

Expect to pay top dollar. Auction fever can be a crazy thing. I play along but seldom bid as it's out of my league. Somtimes I get name or 2.

They tend to get the lions share but if you look around there are alternatives. Basically it's odds. Obviously the more services you use the better the odds.

Do to the nature of the site (portal content management as project for college) and the links that generate the traffic 2dl.net will probably decrease in traffic with time. It may not but beings it was a college project my guess is it will.
