If I paid $100K for 93wg839gh89g8h-gf98g--439ht.us, do I expect at least a $99K return?
Some domains may worth its price at a certain time, but when the time's gone, it's gone. Some people also over pay for certain domains, that doesn't mean the domains would worth such prices to other people.
Anyway, most of us know newyork.info went for mid 5 as it was a big news here.
The real question here is still - Does he own the domains?

If the seller doesn't own it, then the $3, $3000, and $5000 offers are all quite a steal.

Moniker/DomainSystems did the escrow and Sale - so this is nothing a PM or call to Monte wouldn't solve...

I'm curious though do you have any actual evidence or just speculating?
