No lawyer here but i'd "guess" they have a case...

Recommendation: Comply with all they're asking for.

As for the amicably, i think it means two things here:

1) From what you have posted, it seems they don't even ask you to turn the domains to them. That indeed would be amicably.

2) It probably also means, so far it has been amicably and they don't want you to go bancrupt but they have non-amicably ways too if you should choose to not comply.

That's how i would interpret this.

Do *not* interpret amicably as "We want to *buy* your names" though.

:)

nike will not buy your domains.

they will inform the ppc service and have them blocked.

i'm sure you got them for reg fee so just tell them to initiate a transfer request and ask them to send you a free pair of sneakers!

ok thanks for the advice guys. I'll probably sign the letter once i get it in the mail and then go from there. thanks again i really mean it

i do not sign letters received via certi-mail.

just try to correspond to them via email or phone.

I've removed them from Parking as one gesture by the way. I'll keep you guys posted.

Ok, I'll do that...over phone first. What should my position be? I'm not going to be defensive, but i don't want to be totally taken advantage of. My intent was to start a community forum to discuss issues around the Nike Plus platform. No mal intent whatsoever.

by parking them first, this shows your intent.

by parking them first, you were taking advantage of their brand.

i would just wait for the email.

"amicably" means they won't stick a pair of track cleats up your arse. LOL!

Give them what they want with a smile and maybe they will be nice to you.

No guarantees, but your odds go WAY up.

you're lucky that Nike wants to settle with you without any legal proceedings to save of unnecessary lawyer fees which could possibly wind up your domain career. simply comply and get out of their way for they have too much money to pay for a lawyer if they want to haunt you.
good luck

forward the domain to their website forget it after that , let it expire when it comes up.
