I had a domain I really wanted and used SN to try and get it. I completely forgot about Pool, so that was my mistake. Anyway, almost a week later the domain still sits on a Pool landing page. I have checked every imaginable whois to try and email the new owner to make an offer on it, but other than the registrar in China, there is no contact info. Shouldn't it have been updated by now? Does Pool capture and keep expiring domains for themselves? I just don't get it...

Some domains are not updated for several months.
Sometimes buyer would transfer the domain after the 60 day limit and then update whois.

are you sure about that? I had a lot of names there, but they were all registered under pool.com. I think they are holding the names and making a fake auction from them.
