and NOKIA is heavily advertising it! Why?

blah, blah, blah, I'm a nerdy tech head with 20 years of telecommunications experience, I have 12 degrees, I have a 190 IQ, I own large homes in the backward backwoods of old fashioned Texas, I taught the good old Enron folk everything they know, I author a 3G pamplet...and yet, I still don't understand why more & more Fortune 1000 companies are launching & promoting these useless MOBI sites.

I hear MOBI is a brand, but what the heck is a brand or branding? hmmmm

Why do you need 12 degrees? My GED was good enough for me. :smilewinkgrin:

I still don't think this gives any true credance to the .mobi insanity. Fact remains Nokia, like all large corporate entity, they have to cover all grounds. No one knows what the next hot thing is going to be (except John Stewart, he knows everything) With the whole .mobi consortium, no company wants to be the last one holding the holy bag of feces; joining the band wagon is the safest bet.

Who knows. Maybe there are so many damn nokia.mobi's regged they could not even reg one to promote themselves.
