Extracted today from Nokia's website....

"Question: What can Nokia.mobi bring to advertising?

Answer: Nokia Ad Service will provide a worldwide reach to advertisers through its network of mobile publishers. Nokia.mobi, the largest mobile portal with over 100 million monthly visits in 120 countries, already joined the network.

Question: What is .mobi?

Answer: .mobi is a top level domain name like .com or .org.
.mobi is different from the other top level domains in two important respects.

The first one is that .mobi is reserved for web sites that are used with mobile devices.

The second one is that the .mobi sites must follow a user interface guideline developed at .mobi consortium.

The goal of .mobi is to make it easier for the end users to recognize and find web pages that are designed for mobile use."

Thanks for the link Vision

That's a great find and explains why .mobi is different than other extensions.

If nokia.mobi gets 100 million visitors per month, that's awesome exposure for .mobi
