Just curious about something. I know there are alot of scammers out there and people who have nothing better to do than bid on peoples auctions and not pay. I recently posted a domain auction and someone did a buy now. I sent them a pm thanking them for the buy now and asked what type of payment method they would like to use.

Their response: I would like to pay with goats, is that okay?

Basically they chose to do a buy now "for the fun of it"

Is there anything I can do?

Report them to the admin of that (s.ite.poin.t?) forum.

I will. Ugh thats such a pain. Waste of time and money.

why don't you accept the goats? I heard they sell for a lotta money in Wyoming

lol maybe i would be a better goat herder than domainer. I should accept. You the same sashas as on NP?

yeah, just sent you a PM there..

On second thoughts, sheep do much better in Wyoming than goats. You might have to export the goats to Morocco for a sale

sheep ew. Will reply in just a sec to the pm

Hey, we have pet goats here in Florida. They put them on land they want to declare as agricultural, hence paying lower taxes :D

Fifty bucks a fainting goat, that's a steal! Get two for a kids' backyard party, keep clapping hands - instant entertainment! Who needs a balloon maker and a mime! :D

I'm glad you two are having fun on my thread lol.

Well, it is the holiday season so we need to brighten things up a bit.

I have one domain sold on sedo that is going on three weeks no pay, one that I purchased on Sedo that is now 2 weeks no transfer.

Now, depending on the types of goats offered in trade for domains, we know what fainting goats go for but as Acroplex pointed out, the potential ROI for kids parties is incredible. And if you are talking good Nubian and other milking goats for goat's milk and cheese, they can easily fetch $100.00 and up. But, the biggies are the Angora goats (you know, angora wool?). They go for $400 up. So, if you are offered goats, then just find out for sure which breed is being offered and how many of each.

I had two guys bid on DP that did not pay.

-- You can't even report them to mods there.

One guy it is just $6.00 - wounder what he does for a living

Second guy it is $20.00 - Cheap A** guys

the pay rates on things there is very low for everything.

Cheap or pricey is different - If I am the seller and willing to sell two .net names for $6.00
that guy did not pay or respond to my PM

The other guy it the above two + a .com for $20.00

In both cases I was willing to let the names go

Make sure the other party is paying the shipping on the goats. Otherwise take egg-laying chickens. It takes longer to make up the cash in eggs than in goat cheese, but the demand is higher.
