Noob Question about AdSense

Forgive me if this is incredibly noobish but does it cost any money to use AdSense? I used AdWords a long time ago and I ended up spending money.

I am looking at having some sites developed and having AdSense put on them but is there anything else I should know like costs, tips and tricks, etc.

no, if you do it right they end up paying you money. Adwords you pay them to publish adds in their search and network, Adsense they pay you per click for their adds that you publish in your content
