Hasn't Verisign already been sued? By divesting Networksolutions, it throws a clever spanner into the works of the lawyers. NRR will be all the more ready to take on WLS as a divorced third party.

A manager at a major registrar (I agreed not to say which) told me that based on information he is privy to, he believes the WLS is doomed!

With most of the other major registrars bitterly opposed to it, he felt that ICANN would have to give in, or face another baragge of lawsuits.

I don't know how much he knew, but he spoke pretty convincingly!
