Hello,

I was looking at whois info on some domain names and something that I never thought about asking before came to me until now. Does the number of drops on a domain name say something about that domain name? Does it make it a good domain name but no one at the time is interested in it so they drop it then someone else picks it up in hopes of selling it but since it does not sell it gets dropped again...

Typically that's a bad sign but you never know. You can use HosterStats to see.

Lots of domains that get dropped multiple times sell everyday.

Thanks for the reply Slickdots.

I got the answer I was looking for with icloud .net it was purchased by apple and the domain was dropped 3 times according to the whois info.

What I was wondering was if a domain with a x amount of drops was worth regging.
