Was checking my parking server today. Been getting a lot of hate mail for westboro baptist church lately, but noticed one of the top strings for searches on that server was "westboro baptist church topeka kansas".

Went to do some checking. Turns out one of my domains (stopthisshit.com) is number 1 at yahoo for the term. Link: http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt...kansas&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701

The funny thing is, I hand registered this name (along with a bunch of similar names) years ago, but never put anything on it. Ever. Not sure how my domain got in their listing.

Tempted to put this to good use.

Set up a tea party vs. occupy forum and an atheist vs. religion forum, and an agnostic vs. agnostic forum. They can each express their reasoning for "stopping this shit".

Dude, did you read the message? The search term is for a certain baptist church. And for some reason my domain is associated with their name / this search term. Re-read it. Click the link.

Hmmm. Perhaps.

I was think of something more sinister, but I would have no problem making money off their backs either.

South,

I like what you've done with your parking page -- i.e. an offer box and then an affiliate link. You've inspired me to do something similar - have you made many sales through the GoDaddy link? Do you make them in bulk or individually?

Thanks, just a simple php script that displays the name they went to, and a matching 404 page in case they followed a bad link. Yes, bulk. I just put the A records to the IP address of that server for most of my undeveloped names.

Not many, maybe 2-3 a month. But it's working nicely for domain sales :)
