OK, let's have a vote, earnings up or down with new system?

OK. The general feeling seems to be that under the new parking regime at Sedo most domainers are finding their earnings down, let us see if this is correct by having a vote.

Have you seen your earnings at Sedo rise or fall under the new parking regime?

Yes, my parking earnings have risen under the new regime.

No, my parking earnings have fallen under the new regime.

Let's get as many results as possible (honest ones only please), then we will know where we all stand.

:behindsofa:

I'd say down...but pretty much at a stand still. I am not really happy with Sedo.

Neither Yes, nor No. The new system didnt have a significant effect on my earings except for making the CTR extremely stabile.

It's not that simple... Down, then up, then down again.

The last few days, practically no earnings at all!

new system as in the new landers?
the revenue has gone down but the ctr has gone up

overal.... down.

Well even already we can see a pattern emerging I think. Earnings are definately down for the majority (at least), although CTR has gone up (for some), but income definately down.

Lets have more replies please, this could be worth sending to a reporter I know.

And ask sedo officials if their income has gone up since the introduction of new system and the answer might be something like this : "the profit for sedo has been record high"

I have a very diversified portfolio.
Many domains have gone down, some have had a huge step upwards.
Allthough the daily profit varies a lot, in total my revenue went up considerably.

From August to October about 100% up.

this could be worth sending to a reporter I know.

With all the media attention as of late regarding PPC fraud and the like, there is little doubt a story focusing upon domain owners demanding accountability from the major PPC parking services would receive a lot of attention. Especially, with Google reporting record profits...

Is Sedo prepared for a shake-up?

All domain parkers are asking for is transparency. That is reasonable isn't it? Your broker is required by law to disclose fees on stock trades and managing mutual funds, etc. So are real estate brokers transacting and managing properties.

Sedo, you are managing our properties... It is time for you to disclose what percentage you are keeping. If you don't want to be regulated, voluntary disclosure would be prudent at this point.

DF, first of all I'm in the UK, so my thoughts are about English and European laws and rules, they will obviously be different for other nations. When we have a lot more results in I think the picture may well become a lot clearer, then as domainers we could speak together maybe.

Agreed. But regardless of whether people are making more or less, I submit that in managing our traffic, a duty exists to disclose the cut the house is taking...

Mine are up, with some interesting changes from the old system to the new system.

May-July Sedo vs Aug-Oct SedoPro (feed change late Aug)
CTR +25%
RPC +50%

Not to change the subject. But as I see SedoCoUk lurking below, the thought just crossed my mind - Damn I really wouldn't want Sara's job!

Heck, look what she has to deal with...
