They aggressively pursue their trademarks. Matter of fact, they even try to take away your birthday.

Lots of trouble in these. Cough them up when you get your C&D, which should be in a few days.

I wouldn't invest money in development there, you might lose the names.

Why don't people take a pro-active approach and reg their TM names ahead of time, instead of waiting for someone else to do it?

THe Olympic committee won thousand of names containing the TM Olympic but lost about 30, according the the news article.

My advice is to keep your site (if you have one) clean and observe the .. Olympic spirit. Not a good idea to list them for sale.
