Dude at least 10 of those domains are mine!!! WTF!

No I'm just kidding - would be pretty surprised if that was legit though.

It should be legit imo, domains might be owned by a group of partners. Fyi, a random check of 20+ names pointing to the same attributes:

1) All are at Moniker
2) Last updated at 28-May-2008
3) Sedo nameservers

Many were renewed till 2009 and a bunch are expiring within a couple months. (link removed)

good luck with the sale :)

good luck with the sale :)

This is not my sale, just one I seen as I go thought the LLLL .com auctions.

If the domains where mine, I would have smaller lots, anything but 4K +
With so many domains in one auction I believe you will see these names go for about $5 to $8 each. The average single LLLL.com on ebay sells for $30.00 to $40.00

I predict the seller's reserve price won't be reached.

I also think reserve won't be reached, hard to imagine someone buying that many LLLL.com's on ebay, but you never know..

Ed, I've added the link because it has more info about this sale that might be interesting to others here :)

Doubt the reserve will be met.

Those domains are worth $25 minimum, so unless someone has $105,000 to spend (which would IMHO be better invested elsewhere), I don't feel it'll sell.

I hope it goes for a good amount (or that the reserve is ~$25 each), however it's not a great idea to sell 4200 domains in one go. Best to split them up even into batches of 250 (only 17 auctions).

i am guessing the seller is splitting them up and has been to Amsterdam. "420" "4200 domains"...

Random whois check shows different owners, at least 3 I found at different locations.
I am wondering why would they put into same auction?

$30,000 in renewals
I wonder how many sales inquiries per day.

I think it is a great auction. Affluent people around the world, lets say net worth of 10 mil (there are lots of them) would find this a great way to invest in an asset that has huge potential. If I won the lottery and had 20 mil, i'd be a bidder. 100-150k investment in one shot into a market that some think could go up 1000% in the next few years is pretty appealing imo. The auction is over $13 bucks each right now with over a week to go.. Will be fun to watch..

Looks like most (if not all) registered in mid 2007.... when the bottom-of-the-barrel leftovers were gobbled up. Unimpressive letter combinations - and will take years to gain much value.

It is understandable the high $$ for pronounceable quality llll.com's but I can't understand the big disparity of pronounceable, CVCV and double letters vs. x,q,z etc. Q=question, z at the end makes it almost always pronounceable and x seems big in china. I think the LLLL.com market, whatever combo you have, will be a good investment in 2-3 years imo

Sorry for the double post but the only letter I don’t like (and I have quite a few) is O. I see auctions on EBAy that are using the # zero to make a pronounceable LLLL's to misconceive buyers and it is not good for the true LLLL's with a O..
