One Heck of a deal.

Recently I bid on 2 domains at Enom, Enom was able to secure the domains and they went to auction, thedragnet.com and cutenatalie.com. I was all ready to bid these up at the last minute but like and idiot got distracted and took a phone call and missed the last minute bids. Well both domains went for well under $200 apiece and were picked up by buydomains.com, OK I thought I really want them and I'm sure if I offered $1000 for each I would get them and they would make a nice little profit. Guess I was wrong, here is what they want for cutenatalie.com, I did not get a response for thedragnet.com. Moral of the story is don't fall asleep at the wheel (or enom website.)

dude, thats sucks....trust that buydomains would have most likely went to battle for them so if anything you just saved them some money...they should cut you a deal..that asking price of $250,000? They are INSANE...it's not worth more than 10k

I sell typos all the time that get that much traffic and more for low/mid $x,xxx..just as good as any porn traffic imo...

I don't think they sell any of their names, they are buydomains.com not selldomains.com.

I would not feel bad if I battled up to $1000 or so and lost, I'm mad at the fact that they won with their first bid because nobody bid them up.

By the way I have an adult name that gets 30000 or so visitors a month and nobody even asked any questions at $3000.

Buydomains.com reminds me of a junkyard full of scraps and heaps.
It's only that thier junk yard is very large and their ultimate goal is to sell their scrap and junk at "rolls royce" prices.

Morever, their Web site says they sell premium domains. This is quite offensive to me. Their inventory is extremely weak and consists mostly of expired or link decaying domains.

I can not find one premium domain in their entire inventory.

I will never buy a domain from them...and they take the domains hostage once you agree to let them broker it and you have to transfer it in to their possesion..what a rip

their prices are insane and everyone knows they are on the the way down soon..the only thing keeping them going is old business when they sold good names..

How quickly did you request a quote from them? It takes a while before they price their domains, so perhaps it's just the automailer sending nonsense? Wait a while and try again, or phone them directly.

Guys mabye this a stupid question but here goes. Why is adult trafffic worth so little, Is it the legal end of it?

I enquired about a bunch and brought a few from them ages ago.. actually very good deals on both names i purchased were bargains, i paid about 3K each for them and i wouldnt sell them today for less than 50 each.

As for adult traffic being worth nothing, LOL are you kidding me?...

We do a LOT of adult typeins per day and make an absolute killing on per signup stuff..

If your adult traffic is worthless then you arent doing the right thing with it...

Let me know what domains you have which are adult related ( if you want to sell them ) i might buy then if you think their traffic is worthless to you

I've purchased 4-5 domains from buydomains in the past month with no problems (they even gave me a discount on the bulk purchase). You just have filter through the lower quality names...there's some gems there.
