Thank you, RichInCollege. You are my Guru. I mean that in all seriousness. That explanation actually makes total sense to me, but I do think its somewhat flawed based on the time of his thread which started at 2:19AM and in less then an hour at 3:06 he claimed he had the 33 hits. That's less then the magic 2 hours and one could make an educated guess that he didn't just get parking at 1:06 AM. However, that in all sincerity is a great explanation & you'd make a great lawyer or PR man, if you're not one already. Would you mind if I occasionally PM'd you about domain questions as I admire your thinking process. I'm not worthy.

i was not even aware world series of poker is a TM, wow.. what is this world coming too!!! every word every letter every #$#@@@ing thing is a TM now or will be a TM... i dislike TM, its violating our future and present life... whats next, someone TMs my grandmothers NOSE

God help our children, or the children help us with a revolution and terminate this INFECTIOUS DISEASE TRADEMARK LAW

When someone registers a trademark, they only register it in connection with the products for which they use it.

"World Series Poker" is very descriptive...in fact it has practically the same meaning as "World Poker Tour". I forget which site it was, but one of the large online poker rooms was holding an Online World Series last year...this was their own tournament and not associated with the "World Series of Poker"

WSoP is not a strong enough brand as yet to be claiming secondary meaning and dillusion of brand, and with the competition as it is in the market I think it will be a long time before it does.....no problems with this domain unless you start to try and make money of the back of the existing World Series of Poker, or encroach on markets/products they already have registered against their trademark.
