Being .nets, I know none of these would be worth a lot, but I thought they had some possibilities:

Convene.net (all other neighboring domains except .info are registered). I think it would be good for people in the convention business and would also be a great forum name.

ePlayer.net (all other neighboring domains except .us are registered). The .com has a professional casino site that looks very good. Lots of possibilites here besides gambling though - sports uses, media players. etc.

AllConnect.net (again (all other neighboring domains except .us are registered). Obviously suitable primarily for an ISP or telecom company.

I have only registered a handful of .nets so will find it instructive if any of you think these are on the right path, or if I would be better off passing on the .net TLD all together. I personally view it as the 2nd best TLD though I understand the argument that in most cases you would simply be delivering traffic to the .com.

Thanks for your input - good and bad.

You know (and I may stir up some controversy by saying this), dot nets are not always stepchilds of doom. One way to put it, they don't bear the recent dot com intrinsic value slide stigma.

Give your dot nets the "read out loud" sounding check...

"This is the future home of the All COnnect Network"" doesn't sound that bad, does it? Sure the dot come is more valuable but so what?

As far as delivering traffic to the dot com, you know what to do. GO look at their current traffic. You may be the one to benefit from their popularity not as much from type ins but from name recognition and confusion (what? confused consumers is good?)

These are all good choices by domain valuation standards. They are worth persuing despite the lackluster appearance.

I tend to agree. Since we are talking about the internet I have always thought .net was a great and natural extension. .Com tends to dwarf everything else but I still see some value in carefully chosen .nets. I would still take the .net over any other extension other than .com.

I like them all. This is the first thread I've seen with multiple domains listed in which I can say that.

Thanks Jalapeno. I have only been at it a couple of months. I made some bad early choices, like we all do, but thanks to all of the great input on this board I feel like I am getting better at selecting names. I concentrate on the .coms but like to dabble in the other TLDs too.
