.org HELP!!!!

hi guys im after registering a .org my first one but anyway how come im unable to register if the expiration has passed any help apprieciated thanks.

If its just expired it will be another 60 - 90 days before it is deleted from the registry and becomes available again. till then it is in 'pending delete' mode. I'm not sure on the specific timeline of the domain dropping cycle, maybe someone else can give you more exact details
