.ORG Pending Delete - When Might It Drop?

There is a .org I am interested in that is marked Pending Delete - Contact Information Non-Authoritative. This domain is at Verisign and had been registered until 2011. Now that PIR controls the .ORG registry will they drop this quickly, or sit on it for a long time to see if the owner contacts them with the correct contact info? I will put a snap on it if people think it is likely to drop. I don't know how PIR is handling these kinds of things.

I'm in the same position with a .org that I have a snap on. Officially it was due to drop 2 days ago but didn't. With all the .org names that have been dropping recently (compared with .com & .net) I don't think that they have a clear policy, unless it's to iritate people like you and me!

Ignore the new exipery date - and be glad it's a dot org - PIR seems to be a lot saner than Verisin

I just picked up the .Org I was waiting for, less than 2 weeks late - but the .Coms and .nets are still in RGP limbo.
