closed P5s.us and CityPoker.us

P5s.us and CityPoker.us

Appraisals wanted for both. I think both have potential to be big time poker domains, especially CityPoker.us. CityPoker.com is an online gambling site that uses a Doyle's Room poker skin. The .us name for CityPoker could be very valuable for public advertising on tv and live poker tournaments (especially in the commercially-driven United States gambling media), considering US gaming laws prohibit online gaming sites from using their popular .COM extensions.

Also, P5s.us is a shorter name for PocketFives.com, a big-time poker community that is only rivaled by 2+2 forums. It can be utilized for a lot of other projects IMO, but poker would definitely fit the best niche for P5s.us. Anyways, your opinions are always welcome as usual. If nothing productive can come about from these names, feel free to let me know, for Ill just redirect them to my main online site.

I was hoping the CityPoker.us name might go in the low 4-digit range, especially if the site itself wanted to purchase the name for promo purposes. And P5s.us could have some potential in the near future...even non-poker related.

4 digit? Citypoker.com is an active site, so who would brand a new site with the .us? It already has TM issues as it is...unless there is already traffic I would say its close to reg fee, maybe low $xx, same for the p5s.us domain, its a 3 character .us, those are not worth more than reg fee either right now

Well I understand its an active site, but due to US Anti-Gaming laws, sites like that are not allowed to use the .com extensions when advertising on commercials and logowear. Therefore I would like to think the .us version of the name would be helpful in branding in the US, as well as helping them avoid any trouble when advertising their site publicly in poker tourneys, commercials, and at gambling conventions. Could be wrong though.

you said it yourself, due to US gaming law there are restrictions, but if at all, that is true for the .us TLD because the .com can be used world-wide the .us is restricted to US use..
