Wow, if I had the scratch this week, I'd be all over FamilyPets. Just ripe for development. G/L with the sale, susi.

I'm unsure if u should be using the Pagerank of 6 as a selling point, I find it hard to believe it's genuine with only 3 backlinks in Yahoo and the www version of the domain being PR0. If a domain had a genuine PR6 for the non www version, you'd bet your bottom dollar the www version would hold at least some pagerank.

Yep, as I suspected, fake PR with a redirect - Google Cache

When will these scammers ever learn that this isn't ebay and they aren't going to find any newbies to rip off?

Do you allow scammers like this on the forums?

I just pulled this off whatsmypagerank.com:

Retrieving info for http://FamilyPets.info ...

Website: http://FamilyPets.info
Page Rank: 6 / 10
Alexa Ranking:
Indexed Pages: 22
Back Links: 207

I don't know exactly how someone could game PR but if its bona fide then some of you guys owe this poster an apology. At least lets hear an explanation before jumping to conclusions. I've done a trade or 2 with this one and my exp was positive. Of course it had nothing to do with the PR of the names involved either.

Dude, in my previous post all I have stated are facts. If you look into it a bit more, it appears those backlinks being shown in google are for isculptors.com which also redirects to the same domain memsguide.com This is fishy anyway u look at it.

It is called PR Hijacking.

Search it on google for more information:

Well - what can I say - I plead innocent / guilty ??

I compared several pagerank checkers and they all claim PR 6.

Never looked any further than that - I did not know you could artificially produce a pagerank. Why would someone want to do that?

Regardless - in my humble opinion it's still a great domain name and I did not intend to deceive anyone.

LOL, I would probably take the guilty plead and hope for a lighter sentence :-D

if you drop the pr6 as a selling point, and just promote the domain itself for sale, you will be back in the good graces of the forum :santa:

I was not aware that I had "fallen from grace"

But of course you might be right - I have never been labeled a 'scammer' before either

I don't believe you are a scammer at all...you have been here way too long. I think it is an honest mistake. Good luck with the sale. It is a good domain, in a good category. If it was the dotcom, I would be all over it, regardless if it had pr or not.

I have done business with him before and would not hesitate to do business again.

I think it may be a honest mistake.

I don't know if we ever get our Trader Rating back?
