parked.com getting worse ?

Sonny do you work for parked? I am a bit confused now... I randomly checked a number of my domains and they all go to mustangranch or meanwhile. While you said that this would mean that the account is not getting a yahoo feed, you mention that mine does...

What determines if a domain gets a yahoo feed or not? It seems that any new domain that I add to the system goes to mustangranch or meanwhile.

Yes, Sonny works for Parked, as do I. Some of us (including Donny) are at the TRAFFIC conference in NY right now, so we thought we'd help Donny answer some questions here. You are getting the Ask feeds (mustangranch and Meanwhile) because you are viewing the domains from a country Yahoo will not accept trafffic from (or so I assume by the location in your profile). But anyone in the US (or other Yahoo accepted countries) will see the Yahoo feed (like Sonny).

so in other words ask.com al of a sudden does pay only 2 cents per click - down for over 60 cents a click ?

Just to clarify, did you mean that when you see the domain got redirected to Mustangranch and Meanwhile, it gets Ask feed, and if the domain stays the way it is, it's getting Yahoo feed?

this is not the only domain - i have several 1000's of domains parked there and for weeks i see this happen ( also with several other domains ) - i contacted support ( my account manager ) and donny about declining revenue - but i do not get answers - several of my adult domains doing the same thing .

i already moved one domain to test waters elsewhere - a few days ago my one of the answers was that parked implemented changes ( like a new feed or something like it ) but it still changes to the worse - with no real answers to explain this - i just feel like it get ripped off, and as much as i hate to move again, i guess i have to.

Your doing just what your supposed too, moving your domains where they perform best, if you dont, your just throwing money away. Adult domains for me have always performed better using a Google feed BTW.

We have one adult domain that gets 500-800 type-ins per day and makes .15-.20 click at TC that was only getting half that rate per click at parked, (not because of them but because of the ads being shown by the yahoo & ask.com feed) however 90% of the other domains get more per click at parked and higher ctr's...sometimes you just have to experiment and see what works best for the specific name, nobody is "ripping" anyone off and Donny has encouraged me to move certain names elsewhere for maximum performance...it is just business. Overall, as I have said before and will say again, parked.com is superior for most domains.

To clarify one thing Jim mentioned yesterday,if you have a domain that is going to meanwhile.com (non-adult) or mustangranch.com (adult) this means that the traffic is either from a country that our primary provider Yahoo does not support or it's domain they decided they do not want to support either. This may include tobacco, weapons, gambling, or trademark domains.

Searchnut.com is a Yahoo only domain.

Wolfis - We haven't implemented a new feed we changed how our learning system worked. We are always making improvements based on some crazy idea I come up with or just because it's needed.

And if any of our account managers are not responding to somebody please let me know and I'll respond to you myself. Wolfis we have responded to all of your questions, via PM and email. It's always hard to explain why an account or a domain is not making as much money as it use to make or how much you expect it to make. If you ever feel that a domain is not making as much money as you think with a provider, you can always move it to another and see how it does there. We all do it.

thank you for your response donny - i guess this explains ( the improvement ) why what ever keywords i try i get movies and careers as links ?
i tried computer help and guess what i get movies and career - i tried assistance ans i get ( you guessed it) movies and career - no matter what keyword - i whanted to make a screenshot to prove it but guess what - the control panel does not load !

ohh and when do we see the little revenue update ( that little that is left ?)

Hello Focus, Do you mind to share which provider did you move your domains too and what was the results?

I use parked.com primarily for 90% of my traffic names and the few domains that do not fit there or may be marked "sensitive" by Yahoo and end up going to the meanwhile.com feed I move over to TrafficClub...but sometimes the meanwhile.com feed even pays better than this at parked...you have to experiment and see what works best for you. The guys at parked can also help optimize your domains for you if you feel they need improvement (obviously you need traffic or this is a waste of time)..sometimes just a color change or picture change can increase the CTR % greatly...I personally stay away from bright blue landers...they look like every other parking page out there and people are used to seeing the DS landers for many years that were blue so it does make alotof people leave the page fast imo with no clicks...I use light greens (mint julip), black (dusty plains), & orange (orange burst) mostly..
