Pay to forward a domain?

If I had known you have to pay Moniker to forward one domain to another I wouldn't have registered some I did this weekend with Moniker (GD, 1&1, and some others all allow it for free, the only other time I've seen registrars charge is some back-woods joke of a registrar).

What's up or am I missing something?
