I wonder how many people tried to register "The Google" after W. talked about it.

Just because an infringement is really clever doesn't change the fact that it is an infringement.

True but other than the name, there really isn't any TM issue here.

The owner doesn't have anything on the site pertaining to Google (not even adsense) and "Go Ogle IT" does make sense

Definition of ogle:
1. to look at amorously, flirtatiously, or impertinently.
2. to eye; look or stare at.
–verb (used without object)
3. to look amorously, flirtatiously, or impertinently.
4. to look or stare.
–noun
5. an amorous, flirtatious, or impertinent glance or stare.

I wonder how many doors will be opened from this?

An infringement needs to be proven in court. A web-site is good intention.

My dense mistake. Now that I look at it again, I can see that it was an attempt at humor that flew over my head.

However, given some of the gross misinformation about TM law I see on these boards, I can be excused for some of the density, no? Half a mulligan?
